Charlie Corry Wright
Charlie is Hooke Park’s Workshop Manager, and the estate’s caretaker - living on site with his family since 1994. He has a diverse background including mechanical engineering, forestry, furniture making and timber framing. Arriving in Hooke Park in 1990, Charlie completed a one year Forest Manufacturing course run by the Parnham Trust previous to the Architectural Association taking ownership of the property in 2002.
Charlie guides all making activities at Hooke Park, from bench work to building site. Working with residential Design + Make students as well as visiting groups from Bedford Square, he has inspired countless projects through the years. Charlie has also lead the development of Hooke Park’s CNC and robotic fabrication facilities - including the manufacture of bespoke tools and devices.
