Underneath, the valley cables remain unsecured, ready to be spliced and lashed to the perimeter beam.
The membrane in it’s slackened state on the southern facing side of the structure, ready to be pushed up.
From the northern hill behind, the membrane begins to take form, stressed upwards in certain areas by push ups.
Underneath, the push ups become visible above the structure, post stressing the membrane upwards.
The membrane is fully connected with scaffold remaining all the way around to access the push ups and valley cables. A final flap is welded onto the membrane to wrap around the perimeter beam providing a gutter and protection for the beam.
Final adjustments are made in the installation of the membrane. All photos: Valerie Bennett.
